LSPMIO is an instrument designed for the continuous monitoring
of PMIO, PM2.5, using the principle of orthogonal nephelometry.
A flow controlled pump draws ambient air through the size
selective sampling head PMIO into the measurement chamber.
This chamber measure continuously PMIO concentration. The
particle concentration is derived, using a special collimator
device, by measuring the light scattered from an excitation beam.
The signal is output continuously to the microprocessor for data
elaboration. Data are displayed as micrograms/Nm3 on the
front panel for PMIO concentration. The analyzer performs an
automatic calibration of 20 seconds every 6 minutes. Potential
drift is therefore compensated, ensuring high analysis stability.
Changing the inlet head type, and using Eurohead PM2.5 instead
of Eurohead PMIO, LSPMIO can measure continuously PM2.5
concentration.
LSPMIO can be equipped with a gravimetric unit (16 membrane
filters-47 mm dia.). It is possible to run the analyzer without
interruption and get the particulate samples, PMIO, strictly
in accordance with EN 12341/98 standards. The gravimetric
weighing can be compared with the analyser's readings to check
their accuracy. The LSPMIO equipped with the sequential unit is
a constant volume sampler. The LSPMIO will be supplied with
the FOX module pump which provide a constant flowrate of
38.3 l/min or can be used to command the sequential unit.
