In the absence of oxygen, anaerobes multiply, causing coolant to spoil. Oxygen in the coolant system inhibits anaerobic bacterial growth, extending coolant life. For large sumps or tanks, a circulation pump may be needed. Like a pond, coolant will stay healthier longer if it circulates or is aerated. Whenever your machine pump is off, utilize an Oxygenator or circulation pump to extend the life of your coolant.
