nnnnDescription
nnnnA temperature-dependant resistive element between
nnnntwo parallel copper conductors regulates and limits
nnnnthe heat output of the heating cable. This output
nnnnregulation Is carried out automatically along the entire
nnnnlength of the heating cable according to the prevailing
nnnnambient temperature. As the ambient temperature
nnnnrises, the heat output of the cable is reduced. This
nnnnself-limiting property prevents overheating.
nnnnThe heating tape shall not be mounted crossed or
nnnnoverlapped to keep in the temperature class.
nnnnThe heating tape shall not be In operation over the
nnnnmaximum work-piece temperature to ensure the
nnnntemperature class. A safety temperature limiter Is
nnnnrequired.
nnnnThanks to the parallel power supply the heating
nnnncable can be cut to any required length. This feature
nnnnconsiderably simplifies project planning and In-
nnnnstallation. The heating cable is cut and terminated In
nnnnaccordance with the local requirements directly on
nnnnthe construction site. In cases where the cable may
nnnnbecome damaged, It Is not necessary to replace the
nnnnwhole circuit but only the affected part.
nnnnBARTEC MSB Is available In different versions and
nnnnwith different power outputs.
