BAG FILLING AND PRE-FORMING MACHINE
TYPE FA 325, FA 330
The FAWEMA packer series FA325/330 has been designed to
create brick-type, well de-aerated bags in the 5 kg to 12.5 kg
weight range, at high output rates. The packer processes
pre-made bags from a magazine, typically single-ply or multipIy block-bottom bags. With optional equipment it can also
take open-mouth gusseted bags with stitched bottom or
rolled bottom as well as multi-ply pinch-bottom and pinchtop bags from the magazine, open and fill them in one to three
stations.
ln the first filling station, the bags are opened fully by means
of suction. They are then transported in fixed cycles in transport chambers to the subsequent filling station(s). By means
of intensive vibration, adjustable in frequency and amplitude,
the product in the bags held in chambers, is settled and
thoroughly de-aerated to the optimum effect.
ln the pre-fold station of the machine, the bag top is folded
precisely above the level of the settled product by means of
six folding fingers, in preparation for the subsequent closure.

BAG CLOSURE
The modular design of the line means that it can be equipped
with a fully integrated bag closing machine module according to bag type, product and customer requirements. A cen-

tral drive and continuous chamber transport system guarantee a synchronised unit consisting of bag filling, pre-forming
and closing machine.
According to choice, there are integrated closing machines
for flat-top hot-melt or cold adhesive closures with single or
double fold; pinch-top closure for pinch-top bags with or
without re-activateable hot-melt adhesive application, as well
as heat-seal closures for coated paper or closures with
adhesive label.
The machine is universal in application; it can also be
combined with independent, self driven closing machines,
e.g. for upright stitched closure after a single fold, or upright
stitched closure with paper tape application.

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT
Depending on the product, filled weight and the product
characteristics, the machine can be equipped with one or
more auger fillers, chamber fillers or net weighers.
A number of additional devices can be integrated if required.
These include check weighers, trend control for fillers,
integrated check-weigh and top-up system, rejector for
incorrect weights, complete dust extraction, product tamper,
card inserter, coder, Iabeller and quick-change format parts
for different bag sizes.
