Ecosorb C-902
®
Ecosorb® C-902 is a pharmaceutical grade, non-dusting, multi-functional purification media that combines adsorption and
filterability into a single product. Ecosorb products utilize a proprietary method to affix fine particles of activated carbon onto
an inert support. By combining the superior kinetics of fine particles with excellent flow characteristics, purification processes
run longer and deliver better quality effluents than with standard treatment methods.
Ecosorb C-902 is recommended for the removal of color and reaction contaminants from API’s and intermediates. C-902 can
be effectively used in batch, precoat, or deep bed modes of operation. The low hydraulic pressure drop of C-902 makes it
ideal for use in precoat and single plate NEUTCHE filters with bed depths from 2.5 to 50 cm. The distinct advantages with
these types of operations are that they eliminate carbon additions to the reactor, thus simplifying clean up, and in some cases,
they greatly increase adsorption efficiencies and purity. When used in batch operations, Ecosorb provides reduced filtration
times for reaction mixtures with significant amounts of solids and higher viscosities.
The dust-free nature of Ecosorb C-902 greatly reduces housekeeping and product contamination concerns.

Heat of Adsorption: When added to both polar and nonpolar solvents, Ecosorb products, like many other
adsorbents, will release heat energy. In deep bed and
precoat applications temperatures can exceed the boiling
point of certain solvents under some conditions. Contact
