Basic Description
GHD
BASIC DESCRIPTION
Pumps of GHD series with external gearing are due to their robust cast iron construction particularly designed for
heavy applications in the area of agricultural and building machines. Two series – GHD1 and GHD2 – cover a wide
range of geometric volumes from 17 – 150 cm3.
These pumps are characterized by a three part cast-iron construction: flange – body – cover. In the flange and the
cover, there are press-fitted slide bushes for gear pivots. Gear wheels made of heavy duty steel are optimized for lownoise applications. Fluid inlet and outlet are positioned in the pump cover (the solidity of the body is not affected by the
in- and outlets - i.e. higher compressive load is possible), whereas they can be positioned either collaterally (on the
side) or axially (from behind). Axial pressure compensation of the pump is ensured by means of thrust plates made of
sliding cast iron and equipped with shaped packing of the compensating area in grooves. The flange dimensions
enable a design with a front-end pump shaft with bearings for larger radial or axial drive load.
GHD1 and GHD2 pumps are produced in various designs with diverse drives, connecting flanges, fluid inlets and
outlets. They comply with the ISO, SAE, UNI as well as other worldwide standards and can be delivered in one-way or
multiple designs. Furthermore, the pumps are also available in reversible version with internal or external drainage.
