Knight Optical supply precision optical components to customers in the gas and vapour detection
industry for applications such as Continuous Emission Systems (CEMS), combustion analysers, and
environmental monitoring. Knight Optical's extensive range of components include:
Singlet lenses and optical windows: made from materials such as Calcium
Fluoride (CaF2), Germanium (Ge), Silicon (Si), Quartz/Fused Silica,
Magnesium Fluoride (MgF2), and Sapphire (Al2O3).
Interference Bandpass Filters: for infrared wavelengths to select the
spectral peaks of gases, such as:
• Carbon Monoxide (CO) – 4.73µm
• Nitric Oxide (NO) – 5.24µm
• Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) – 6.17µm
• Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) – 7.42µm
• Hydrogen Chloride (HCl) – 3.55µm
• Carbon Dioxide (CO2) – 10.7µm
IR filters that can block sidebands from visible wavelengths through to
20µm and offer transmission peaks over 90%T.
Front surface mirrors – plane and concave: with coatings
such as enhanced Aluminium and protected Gold for IR
wavelengths.
Gas cells – to contain gasses at pressures up to 4bar using stainless steel
enclosures and Magnesium Fluoride windows.
