^fMRV LambdaDriver® WDM Optical Transport System Overview The LambdaDriver® sries is a multi-functional, compact modular Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) system capable of providing exceptional solutions for comprehensive and elaborated optical networking. With its flexible architecture and outstanding variety of optical networking modules and chassis the LambdaDriver® platform is ideally suited for any market segment from Enterprise Access, Metropolitan Carriers and Service provider's networks to Long Haul transport capabilities. The products support different network topologies such as PTP, Linear OADM, Ring and Mesh using advanced DWDM and CWDM technology. The supported data rates vary from 8 Mbps up to 40 Gbps with seamless upgrades to 100 Gbps for different services including Data, Storage, Video and more. The various LambdaDriver® modules support any data rate and protocol, and thus are suitable for a number of targets such as: - Carrier Metro Transport Providers - Mobile Backhaul - Government, Defense and Public Services - Research and Education - Healthcare - Finance and Insurance - Utility and Transportation - Internet Content Providers (ICPs) - Enterprise Market The chassis and modules listed below compose the main building blocks of the LambdaDriver® WDM solutions, which in addition to the powerful management capabilities of the system, permit the implementation of highly flexible and scalable Optical Transport networks with low power consumption and optimum rack space. Chassis The various models of LambdaDriver® CWDM/DWDM chassis are optimized for small, medium and high-density services coverage. The LD200, LD400, LD800 and LD1600 are 19-inch rack mountable chassis with modular architecture hosting different types of modules such as Transponders, Muxponders, Optical Amplifiers, DCMs, Mux/DeMux, ROADMS and other modules , capable of supporting up to 160 DWDM wavelengths. The modules are slot independent (except the management modules) and hot swappable. All chassis versions support redundant and hot-swappable wide-range AC and DC power supplies. In addition, the LambdaDriver® Passive (LDP) chassis provide electricity-free chassis for all-optical CWDM/DWDM solutions. Passive WDM Multiplexers / Demultiplexers, Optical Add/Drop Multiplexers (OADM) and more The LambdaDriver® Passive CWDM/DWDM Mux/Demux modules deliver protocol and topology independent operation with the highest flexibility in number and type of wavelengths selection including a variety of flexible modules among which CWDM and DWDM Multiplexers / Demultiplexers, OADMs (1-8 channels), Band Splitters and Optical Monitor Taps. Banded OADMs are also available permitting add/drop of several channels at secondary locations over one pair of fibers.
