nnnnThe FTO-40000-K1 provides a low-noise source at 40 GHz and
nnnnis commonly used as a key component in mm-wave communi-
nnnncations, defense instrumentation, and optical-communication
nnnnsystems.
nnnnThis low-jitter source uses a high-performance, low-noise silicon
nnnnbi-polar junction transistor (Si BJT) in conjunction with a high-Q
nnnnplanar transmission line to realize an X-band, low-noise oscillator.
nnnnA GaAs PHEMT MMIC frequency multiplier is used to generate a
nnnn40 GHz signal. Finally the
nnnnsignal is passed through a
nnnnband-pass filter and me-
nnnndium power amplifier before
nnnncoupling to the output port.
