nnnnIn today's world of high cost of electrical
nnnnenergy, it is often required to shed load to save
nnnncost of energy consumption. Load shedding
nnnnmay be resorted to avoid high penalties due to
nnnnMD restrictions or high cost of electrical energy
nnnnduring peak hours.
nnnnShedding un-essential load (e.g. utility water
nnnnpumps, AC etc.) during peak energy cost time
nnnncan result in significant saving in electrical bill.
nnnnSmart Multi-Function Meter SATEC PM130EH
nnnnPLUS provides features which can be used to
nnnnachieve both these cost saving requirements. It
nnnncan be used to shed load based on MD and also
nnnnat fixed time (peak energy cost time).
nnnnPanel mounted, four quadrants SATEC
nnnnPM130EH PLUS displays all required electrical
nnnnparameters with accuracy class 0.5S. Its RS-485
nnnnserial port can be used to read all required
nnnnparameters via MODBUS RTU, DNP 3.0, Profibus
nnnnDP or IEC 60870-5-101/4 protocols.
nnnnPlug-in module with four digital inputs (Dl) and
nnnntwo relay outputs (RO) is available for use with
nnnnthe meter. This module is installed at side of the
nnnnmeter (please see the picture on right). Four Dl
nnnncan be used to monitor feeder status and time
nnnnsynchronization of the meter RTC (by using
nnnnminute pulse input).
nnnnTwo relay outputs can be used to control loads
nnnnbased on MD or time.
