PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The Marvell® Xelerated® HX300 family of network processors (NPUs) are leading Carrier Ethernet packet processing devices
targeting switch-routers, Packet-Optical Transport/OTN, metro aggregation as well as cloud computing platforms.
The combination of network processing and advanced traffic management brings unique cost benefits and enables deterministic
traffic management per service and per subscriber with programmable drop algorithms and collection of statistics.
The Marvell Xelerated HX300 family is complemented by the Marvell Xelerated AX300/AX200 family of Programmable Ethernet
Switches, enabling system vendors to leverage R&D investments across unified fiber access, mobile backhaul, metro Ethernet and
cloud computing applications. Line card designs based on the HX300 NPU scale from 10 Gbps to multiples of 100 Gbps.
PRODUCT OPTIONS
The family has five members. They differ in packet processing performance,
TM capabilities and support for 100 Gbps clear-channel Interlaken.

The HX300 family of NPUs integrates packet processing, switching, TCAM,
SRAM, traffic management, and Ethernet MAC and PHY functionality. They
offer the low cost and power efficiency of custom designed fixed-function
ASICs, but bring the NPU advantages of reduced time to market and value
differentiation through software.
