nnnnThe testo 816 is the ideal sound level measuring instrument
nnnnfor assessors, workplace measurements and for the
nnnnmeasurement of industrial and environmental noise.
nnnnUsing the Fast/Slow button, the measurement time can be
nnnnset from 1s to 125 ms, in order to better evalaute the noise
nnnnsource. The frequency analysis can also be switched from
nnnncharacterisitc curve A to C. The characteristic curve A
nnnncorresponds to the sound pressure perception of the human
nnnnear, whereas characteristic curve C can also evaluate the
nnnnlow-frequency components of a sound.
nnnnThe testo 816 also has an AC and DC output. Via the AC
nnnnoutput, recorders or amplifiers can be connected directly to
nnnnthe instrument, and via the DC output, graphical recorders
nnnnor data loggers can be used easily and directly on site. The
nnnnanalog bar graph display offers the user a fast overview
nnnnover the complete measuring range.
nnnnWith the help of the optional calibrator, the measuring
nnnninstrument can be recalibrated directly on site with the
nnnnscrewdriver provided. The wind protection cap included in
nnnndelivery ensures correct measurement results when
nnnnmeasuring outdoors, and if required can protect the
nnnnmicrophone from dirt and dust.
