The BIW High Temperature Feedthru
System has been designed for operation
with conductor temperatures up to 450°F
(230°C).
The internal components of the High
Temperature Feedthru have been redesigned to accommmodate the effects of this
much more severe operating environment.
The exterior surface of the connector
has been modified for improved heat
transfer and cooling.

The connection system includes a new
Metal-Lok keying system, for positive
protection against inadvertent rotation of the
surface connector.
Suitable for use in applications
with a maximum conductor
temperature of 450°F (230°C),
without stand-offs or external
cooling.

The exterior seals to the hanger and
top flange have been fitted with high temperature O-rings and back-up rings.
High Temperature

internal construction
Positively prevents damage that
could result from inadvertent
turning or mishandling of the
surface connector.
TM
A new sealing system specifically
designed for high temperatures provides
the seals between system components.
This Feedthru System has been approved
by CSA for use in Class I, Division 1 Hazardous Locations.
