Basic Rules for proper wiring:
Use twisted pair single or double-shielded 14 g cables
- Keep the motor and power cables separated from the encoder and signal cables. Never run signal wires along power cables. - For the sinusoidal encoder use a double-shielded cable. This cable is usually provided with the encoder Itself. - Connect only one side of the cable shield, preferably at the source end. - The flat cable between PMAC2 and the ACC-8F cannot exceed the 36-lnches in length. - The flat cable between PMAC2 and the ACC-51P cannot exceed the 6-lnches in length. - Twist pairs of any high power cables.
The optional choke coil is recommended for low-inductance coils motors. Most linear motors have low-inductance coils.

The double-shielded cable is usually provided with the encoder. Single shields are usually already connected to the encoder case by the encoder manufacturer. Connect the global shield to the ACC-51 P side; do not connect it on both ends of the cable. Please consult the encoder manufacturer for the maximum allowed distance of the double-shielded encoder cable.
