nnnnThe ExaMAX™ connector system is designed
nnnnto enable superior 25 Gb/s electrical
nnnnperformance and provide a path to 40 Gb/s in
nnnnanticipation of further increases in bandwidth
nnnnrequirements and the data rates used for high
nnnnspeed signaling.
nnnnExaMAX™ connectors feature a revolutionary
nnnnbeam-on-beam contact interface that
nnnnminimizes the residual stub for improved
nnnnsignal integrity performance compared to
nnnntypical blade-on-beam contact structures and
nnnnprovides exceptionally low mating force while
nnnnmaintaining excellent contact normal force.
nnnnProtected mating interfaces for both backplane
nnnnand daughter card connectors also eliminates
nnnnthe exposed header pin field on the backplane,
nnnnwhich can be susceptible to damage.
nnnnEach signal wafer incorporates an innovative
nnnnone-piece, embossed ground structure to
nnnnimprove crosstalk performance through 40
nnnnGb/s. The simple, functional design contributes
nnnnto a very cost-effective solution.
nnnnThe ExaMAX™ product family will address a
nnnnbroad range of system architectures, including
nnnnbackplane, midplane, midplane orthogonal,
nnnndirect orthogonal, cabled backplane, coplanar
