nnnnThe pressure chamber and the measu-
nnnnring diaphragm are available in different
nnnnmaterials to meet various requirements.
nnnnConstruction and Operation
nnnnThis pressure instrument is based on a
nnnnrugged and uncomplicated diaphragm
nnnnmovement, suitable for overpressure
nnnnand partial vacuum pressure measure-
nnnnments.
nnnnIn non-operative state, forces of the
nnnnsprings on both sides of the diaphragm
nnnnare balanced. Pressure or vacuum to be
nnnnmeasured creates an unbalanced force
nnnnof the springs until a new balance is re-
nnnnached. When subjected to excessive
nnnnpressure, the diaphragm rests on metal
nnnnsupporting plates. A centre-mounted
nnnntappet transfers motion of the dia-
nnnnphragm system to indicator movement
nnnnand operating elements of micro swit-
nnnnches.
