A safety system provides protection to people, the plant and environment
from hazardous situations. The safety control system will typically run
in parallel with the production control system, even though these two
can be combined into a single controller. Introducing red cable jackets
provides flexibility and ease of identification of a safety application with
minimized effort and wire tracing back to the controller.

• Connectors and cable styles
are available for all of the safety
component products: safety
distribution boxes, safety switches
and safety relays.

Connectivity is offered in cable jacket colors of yellow, black and red with
various connector styles. Ethernet media is offered in teal and red. These
options simplify applications by creating a differentiation to separate the
safety system.

All of the cordsets and patchcords are configurable and available in lengths
from .1 meters. The DC Micro 4-, 5-, and 8-pin cables, as well as the M23
19-pin cables are available in male/female, straight/right angle options.
The ethernet RJ45 cables are available in any combination of male RJ45
with a straight, right angle or left angle connector option. The ethernet
M12 cables are available in male/female, straight/right angle options.
