Kollmorgen VLM series servo motors offer an exceptional of torque to cost ratio. The VLM2 and VLM3 model close
the gap between basic stepper or induction motors and high-performance servomotors. Features and options are
adapted in regard to cost: The VLM servomotors are supplied with fixed cables and connectors. An electronic nameplate option is available with digital resolver (SFD) feedback option allowing VLM motors ready for use immediately
after connection.
VLM servomotors are particularly suited for use with the AKD servo drive and the AKD BASIC servo drive with
integrated motion control. This economically priced servomotor may also be controlled with the AKD PDMM for applications that require full motion and machine control without an external PLC, with extremely cost-effective results.
