nnnnOverview
nnnnThe NI 9402 Measurement System includes four bi-directional DIO channels and four counter/timers, communicating with a host PC
nnnnover USB, Ethernet or 802.11 Wi-Fi.
nnnnMeasurement Bundle Overview
nnnnThe hardware for an NI CompactDAQ single measurement bundle consists of a USB, Ethernet, or 802.11 W-Fi chassis and one of
nnnnthe over 50 NI C Series measurement-specific modules. These small rugged bundles are ideal for portable or distributed
nnnnmeasurements.
nnnnChassis
nnnnThe chassis controls the timing for the module and handles communication with the PC over the USB, Ethernet, or 802.11 W-Fi bus.
nnnnAdditionally, all NI CompactDAQ chassis include four counter/timers that you can access through a digital I/O module like the NI 9402.
nnnnModule
nnnnThe NI 9402 is a 4-channel, 55 ns bidirectional digital input module for any NI CompactDAQ or CompactRIO chassis. You can
nnnnconfigure the direction of the digital lines on the NI 9402 for input or output by bit. Thus, you can program this module for three
nnnnconfigurations - four digital inputs, four digital outputs, or two digital inputs and two digital outputs. With reconfigurable I/O (RIO)
nnnntechnology (CompactRIO only), you can use the NI LabVIEW FPGA Module to program the NI 9402 for implementing custom,
nnnnhigh-speed counter/timers, digital communication protocols, pulse generation, and much more. Each channel is compatible with 5
nnnnV/TTL signals and features 1,000 Vrms transient isolation between the I/O channels and the backplane.
