nnnnOverview
nnnnThe NI 9206 Measurement System measures 32 voltage channels at 250 kS/s with 16-bit resolution, sending data to a host PC over
nnnnUSB, Ethernet or 802.11 Wi-Fi.
nnnnMeasurement Bundle Overview
nnnnThe hardware for an NI CompactDAQ single measurement bundle consists of a USB, Ethernet, or 802.11 W-Fi chassis and one of
nnnnthe over 50 NI C Series measurement-specific modules. These small rugged bundles are ideal for portable or distributed
nnnnmeasurements.
nnnnChassis
nnnnThe chassis controls the timing for the module and handles communication with the PC over the USB, Ethernet, or 802.11 W-Fi bus.
nnnnAdditionally, all NI CompactDAQ chassis include four counter/timers that you can access through a digital I/O module like the NI 9401.
nnnnModule
nnnnThe NI 9206, for use with NI CompactDAQ and CompactRIO chassis, features 16 differential analog inputs, 16-bit resolution, and a
nnnnmaximum sampling rate of 250 kS/s. Each NI 9206 channel has programmable input ranges of ±200 mV, ±1 V, ±5 V, and ±10 V.
nnnnThe NI 9206 provides up to 600 VDC (400 VDC in Europe) bank isolation from earth ground, which makes the module ideal for
nnnnaccurately monitoring large fuel cell and battery stacks. While each bank of measured cells can be up to 600 V from earth ground,
nnnneach channel of the NI 9206 must remain within 10 V of the module COM. By referencing the module COM to the middle of the NI
nnnn9206 bank, you can measure 16 consecutive cells.
nnnnThe NI 9206 comes with the NI 9941 connector accessory, which includes a spring terminal connector and backshell to provide strain
nnnnrelief for taking high-voltage measurements.
nnnnNote: The NI 9206 should not be connected to MAINs CAT II, III, or IV circuits. It is a UL-recognized component that must be installed
nnnnin a suitably UL-rated enclosure such as the NI 9917 or NI 9918 industrial enclosures. See the product manual for proper installation
nnnnand restrictions for safe use of the NI 9206 and explanation of measurement categories (CAT).
