Menzel Elektromotoren GmbH are happy to provide yet another unique
service to our clients and partners. In addition to our customer-specific
motor solutions, mechanically and electrically compatible spare and
replacement motors, an extensive inventory, and a new paint shop,
Menzel now operates a second load test field.
Test field 2 enables tests up to 1,800 kW under load and up to 10,000 kW
at no load speed. It is equipped with modern electronic and mechanical measuring technology and suitable for routine tests, type tests,
and complex system checks. It features inverters with a 6 kV performance, rotary converters for all standard voltages up to 13,200 V, and
load resistors for testing generators. Higher power outputs can be
checked through partial load testing.
Operating as an independent company Menzel will run your maintenance checks with best care and attention, offering a plurality of possibilities. Providing state-of-the-art-measuring equipment and generous
space conditions at a specifically enlarged testing hall, this unique
offer will reduce waiting times and help you facilitate planning. Our
control room as well as the visitor booth are sound-proof and heated
and can be used at any time around the year.
The test field 2 is mainly designed for load tests and temperature rise
tests of three-phase asynchronous motors with squirrel cage rotors or
slip ring rotors, but can also be used for synchronous motors. For the
test of DC motors or any special request, please contact us. We are
happy to check the technical feasibility. As a medium-sized company
with activities worldwide, we take the pride in being able to advice
