High efficiency cyclones0 pages
The High Efficiency Cyclones are the product of
significant development with the aim of achieving
extremely high levels of particle removal from the
airstream. The unique inlet scroll is designed with
a smooth flow elbow to eliminate currents perpendicular to the main direction of gas flow that
is present in standard conventional rectangular
entrance cyclones. The epically designed inlet
scroll gradually introduces the particle-laden
gases into the cyclone while keeping the flow
smooth and uniform which thus leads to higher
efficiencies then in conventional cyclones.
Custom designed disengaging hoppers give highly
effcient separations by creating a void that hosts the
bottom section of the descending vortex and allows
the particles to disengage the airstream before it
ascends into the gas outlet tube. A range of hopper
storage designs are also available to meet customer
needs.
A wide range of manufacturing materials are available
to meet the process demands. For abrasive feeds, the
classifier unit is manufactured from abrasion resistant
plate. The high wear zone in the inlet scroll can also
be lined with ceramic tiles to significantly increase
maintenance intervals. Other manufacturing options include aluminum and stainless and mild steel.
Cyclone size options start at 0.5m3/s (1,000cfm)
– 10 m3/s (20,000cfm) for single unit cyclones
and up to 50 m3/s (100,000cfm) for individual
multi cyclone options. Expert cyclone applications assistance will ensure the correct cyclones
will be selected for every duty required.
