The ArcWorld® IV-6000 series is a family of fully integrated, pre-engineered robotic arc welding solutions with a 250 kg, 750 kg (HD) or 1,200 kg (XHD) capacity servo-controlled trunnion positioner with independent drives on all three axes. These single-robot (AWIV-6000),dual-robot (AWIV-6200) or triple-robot (AWIV-6300) workcells are designed to meet high-volume production for medium-size parts. Coordinated motion allows the robot(s) to weld while parts are turning on the positioner, and the independent drives reduce cycle time.
AWIV-6000 series models feature the high-speed MA1400 arc welding robot; DX100 controller; integrated welding package; MRM2-250/750/1200M3X servo-controlled trunnion positioner; operator station; and total safety environment – all the automation required for robotic arc welding.
Easy Setup
n Common cell base supports fencing and provides an elevated
platform for programmers.
Removable deck plates provide access for cable routing.
n Twist-lock connectors are included
on all interconnecting cables.
n Common equipment base provides easy location of controllers,
power sources and auxiliary equipment.
n Positioner base and cell base bolt together for easy layout and positive location. All bases have leveling bolts with lag provisions.
n Sliding interlocked door in rear of cell provides easy programming access.

DX100 Controller
n Windows® CE programming pendant with color touch screen,
fast processing, easy-to-use INFORM III programming language and robust PC architecture.
n Menu-driven arc welding software including graphic diagram of weld parameter settings.
n Safety features – enhanced dual-channel E-Stop functionality, integrated speed monitoring, manual brake release for the robot, and compliance with both U.S. and Canadian safety standards.
Part Positioner:
MRM2-M3X Series
n Positioner available with 250-, 750- (HD) or 1200-kg (XHD) payload capacity.
n Fast positioner index times of 1.5, 2.25 or 3.25 seconds. Headstock rotation speeds of 32.7, 21.6 or 17.5 rpm.
n Patented MotoMount™ fixture mounting system facilitates fixture changes and provides standard 3.0-m length with 1.3-m turning diameter.
n Standard utilities include 6 mm ID
air line in headstock (XHD only) and 41 mm tailstock thru-hole; optional slip rings allow continuous
rotation for fixture signals.
n The MRM2-250M3X and MRM2-750M3X have a common structure. The MRM2-1200M3X (XHD) has larger support structures on the ends.
n The larger XHD positioner is also available with 1,000 kg payload and larger turning diameter (1,524 mm)
Coordinated Motion
n The easy-to-program MRM2 positioner provides coordinated motion and infinite part positioning.
The weld joint can be kept in a gravity-neutral welding plane, improving weld quality.
n Productivity is increased because
the robot is not idle while the part is repositioned. Motoman’s Twin Synchronous software allows two or three robots to be coordinated with the positioner.
n Reduced cycle time due to part positioning while stations switch.
