The PONSSE Opti product family covers comprehensive
information systems for harvesters, forwarders and
harvester head retrofits. Applications for wood procurement
management are also available. The basic principle behind
PONSSE Opti information systems is user-friendliness.
They have been designed taking drivers’ wishes and
forest companies’ requirements for various operating
environments into account. Machine systems are easy to use,
while offering diverse adjustments, accurate measurements
and optimisations, and plenty of performance for forest
company applications. A correctly adjusted and calibrated
machine is enjoyable for the driver too.

ENVIRONMENTS
Thanks to their numerous and easy adjustments,
PONSSE harvester heads are suitable for various uses from
thinning to final felling. Their high feed power and fast
economical sawing result in extreme efficiency. As each
harvester head can be adjusted according to tree and base
machine properties, working is easy and the harvester head
has a long service life. Moreover, PONSSE information
systems guarantee measurement accuracy in cutting.
All PONSSE harvester heads of different sizes are also
suitable for the multi-stemming of energy wood without
any optional equipment. This eliminates additional costs,
servicing and weight. The frames of PONSSE harvester
heads are machined from a single piece after the welding
assembly. This guarantees the highest quality with excellent
precision. Durable hoses and delimbing knives form an
important part of reliability.
In addition, the automatic PONSSE CT+ chain tensioner
and the grease lubrication system for the saw chain are
available for all harvester head models and also for H7 and
H8 model a stronger tilt frame and for H7, H8 and H10
model a find end sensor for track-based installations.

Making a track-based machine a true harvester
The effective and versatile Opti4G information system can
be retrofitted to track-based machines. The Opti6 PC system
is mounted on a track-based machine with a PONSSE harvester head to make the machine match modern standards.
The OptiPC system then makes it possible to utilise reporting of logging volumes, data transfer, map application and
automatic marking for bucking, among other things.
