nnnnThe WXD1 is a digital signal amplifier pod
nnnnthat operates in conjunction with any of the
nnnnWaveXciter series generators equipped
nnnnwith the digital outputs option (Option D).
nnnnCombined they offer the ultimate, analog,
nnnndigital and mixed signal solution that
nnnnprovides engineers with the necessary
nnnntools for solving their everyday applications,
nnnnperforming characterization, validation,
nnnnverification or debugging of circuits.
nnnnInter Channel Delay Control
nnnnModel WXD1 offers up to 14 channels of
nnnndigital data and enables control of the delay
nnnnbetween these channels with a range of
nnnn±2.5ns and a resolution of 5ps. So whether
nnnnfor extremely precise multiple trigger
nnnnlines or for highly synchronized clock and
nnnnpattern signal generation the WXD1 offers
nnnna high level of accuracy and control of skew
nnnnbetween channels.
nnnnIndependent Level Control
nnnnModel WXD1 is equipped with 14
nnnnindependent level and offset control circuits
nnnnthat converts the standard LVDS input that
nnnncomes from the digital feed of the WX series,
nnnnto any level within a 4Vp-p window. Having an
nnnnindependent level and offset control, simply
nnnnmeans that one can create unique levels for
nnnna single or groups of data channels, without
nnnncompromising on performance, extending
nnnnthe use of the standard digital feed to a vast
nnnnarray of digital design applications.
nnnnSeparate or Simultaneous Channels
nnnnThe new digital option of the WX series
nnnncomes with a dedicated memory of up to
nnnn16MWord for the generation of digital data.
nnnnThe digital data can be generated through
nnnnthe WXD1 and analog waveforms can be
nnnngenerated simultaneously from the front
nnnnpanel of the AWG. The dedicated digital
nnnndata memory enables users to either
nnnngenerate analog waveforms and their digital
nnnnrepresentation, or independent digital and
nnnnanalog signals.
nnnnPattern Editing and Sequencing
nnnnThe WXD1 transforms the WX high speed
nnnnAWG to a versatile mixed signal generator.
nnnnUsing the ArbConnection software and its
nnnnPattern Composer tool any complex data
nnnnpattern can be designed quickly and easily.
nnnnUsing the dedicated memory of up to 32M
nnnnand the sequencer capabilities enables
nnnninsertion of infrequent faults and glitches into
nnnnthe data patterns to verify device or circuit
nnnnrecovery.
nnnnTarget Applications
nnnnTarget applications include parallel
nnnncommunication test between devices,
nnnncharacterize device timing, characterize
nnnnand verify Asic, FPGA and DACs, D/A
nnnncommunication for cell phones and digital
nnnnTV, create complex data patterns using the
nnnnsequencer, test LCD display drivers, and
nnnnmore.
