Integral suction lifter
Compressed air operated with place function
IHS3025
APPLICATION
▪ Lifting and putting down workpieces,
typical pick and place applications
▪ Simultaneously holds and lifts flat workpieces
▪ Separates paper, plastic sheets, veneers, rating plates,
bank cards, etc.
▪ Stacking and destacking with variable stack levels
SPECIAL FEATURES
▪ The entire sequence is controlled by switching the compressed
air on and off. No additional valves or cylinders required
▪ No additional cylinder means short cycle times
▪ No adhesion between pre-separated parts
▪ Low weight for fast positioning
▪ Compensates height differences at the workpiece
▪ Locking piston rod
FUNCTION
When the compressed air is switched on, an integrated ejector creates a vacuum. The piston
moves out. As soon as the suction cup touches the workpiece it holds onto it, and the piston immediately returns to its starting position with the workpiece. As long as the compressed air is
switched on, the part remains locked in position. When the compressed air is switched off, an integrated pressure chamber generates a blow-off pulse, causing the piston to move out again and
put down the workpiece. When the pressure chamber is empty, the spring resets and the piston
retracts again.
The basic setting (piston retracted) can be monitored by means of a magnetic field sensor.
Picking
Variable stack height
Placement
Variable stack height
1: Basic position, compressed air off, piston retracted, magnetic field sensor actuated.
2: Compressed air is switched on, piston moves out, workpiece is picked up, piston returns to starting position with workpiece.
3: Workpiece held and lifted, compressed air on, magnetic field sensor actuated.
4: Transfer of workpiece.
5: Compressed air is switched off, piston moves out with workpiece, puts down workpiece and returns to starting position without workpiece.
6: Basic position, compressed air off, piston retracted, magnetic field sensor actuated.
