KeDrive D2
The compact drive with
Ethernet-based communications
With the new, compact D2 product series, KEBA
has supplemented its KeDrive family in the 100 W
to 3.5 kW lower power segment and thus meets
stringent demands with regard to openness and
continuity.
In addition to space-saving design and outstanding
performance data, the KeDrive D2 disposes over
standard, real-time Ethernet communication interfaces.
In connection with the multi-encoder interface and optional
extensions, these interfaces offer the realization of all drive
solutions.
Communicative hardware
for every application
The new communications interface with multi-protocol
capacity, permits the universal operation of the KeDrive D2
with standard SERCOS III and EtherCAT real-time Ethernet
protocols without any hardware changes. Linkage of this interface takes place via universal communications hardware,
which is easily configured by means of software.
High compatibility for
maximum freedom
The KeDrive D2 supports the most widely used types of
encoder by means of its multi-encoder interface. As a result, machine manufacturers can select from the complete
range of sensor and motor systems.
Safety on board for
reduced expense
Safety functions in line with Category 3 of the EN 13849-1
standard are integrated into the drives.* This means that
complicated accreditation is not needed and development
periods are shorter. The integration of safety functions into
the drive ensures minimum response times, making machines both faster and safer. The on-board safety functions
render external monitoring components and their installation superfluous, which cuts both installation expenditure
and costs.
