Pattern Memory

nnnn

The Data Generator combo offers two

pattern memory options: the data can be

stored on a dedicated 128k per channel

nnnn

pattern memory or alternatively for longer

nnnn

patterns the arbitrary memory of up to 4M

nnnn

can be used, allowing the user to work in

nnnn

parallel with arbitrary waveforms.

Independent Level Control

nnnn

As standard, the generator comes with a

nnnn

rear-panel connector that feeds 16 LVDS

nnnn

data channels into matching 100 loads. The

nnnn

2816 pod converts the LVDS levels from

nnnn

the waveform generator output to any level

nnnn

within a 5Vp-p amplitude window. Each

nnnn

channel has its own controls, so it is possible

nnnn

to create unique levels for a single or groups

nnnn

of data channels, extending the use of the

nnnn

standard generators to a vast array of digital

nnnn

design applications.

Digital and Analog Channels Simultaneously

nnnn

While the digital data can be generated

nnnn

through the 2816, analog waveforms can

nnnn

be generated simultaneously from the front

nnnn

panel of the Tabor Generator. Users can

nnnn

either generate analog waveforms and

nnnn

their digital representation, or using the 2-

nnnn

channel Tabor generator to create 16-bits of

nnnn

digital data from channel 1 and independent

nnnn

analog waveforms from channel 2.

nnnn

Pattern Editing and Sequencing

nnnn

The 2816 provides an ideal solution for

nnnn

applications that require characterization of

nnnn

a circuit or device timing as well as amplitude

nnnn

margins. Using the Pattern Composer,

nnnn

which is included with the ArbConnection

nnnn

software, any complex data pattern can

nnnn

be designed quickly and easily. Using the

nnnn

sequencer enables insertion of infrequent

nnnn

faults and glitches into the data patterns to

nnnn

verify device or circuit recovery.
