Why not electric drive?
Marketing development | Comparison of costs
The developments of electric for counterbalance forklift and
storage technology were characterized most recently by CLARK.
Resistor controls and DC series motors were used in the
1980s in the electrically driven industrial truck.
Thyristor-technology and shunt motors has led
to the current position of mature AC-technology.
The marketing development of electrical driven forklifts
has shown that these technical developments have led
to an approximation of the market volume.
The booming years of the forklift may have gone in the
immediate future, but the development of the market
figures show that as soon as cost saving forklifts are in
demand, the electrical forklift gain the upper hand again.
