The CEL5500 Compact Embeddable Light Engine is a modu-
lar, production-ready platform designed to provide users
with an industrial DLP solution that is small, lightweight, and
multi-functional. The flexible, scalable architecture of the
CEL5500 allows for a wide variety of configurations 8c cus-
tomizations to meet your R&D and volume production
needs.
The CEL5500 is designed for high brightnes, monochromatic
Structured Light applications such as 3D Scanning 8c Print-
ing, Medical Imaging, Rapid Prototyping, Microscopy, 8c
Machine Vision. The CEL5500 is also optimized for video
applications such as 3D Display, Simulators, 8c Augmented
Reality.
The CEL5500 comes in two illumination configurations:
LED & Fiber Optic
The CEL5500-LED uses a single-channel green LED. The
CEL5500-Fiber Optic enables users to integrate their own
light source via a Fiber Optic light guide. This is an ideal
solution for high-brightness applications.

Microscopy Application
DLP5500 0.55" XGA Chipset
The CEL5500 utilizes TI's DLP5500 Chipset which features
the 0.55" XGA DMD from the best-selling DLP* LightCom-
mander platform. The CEL5500 also uses the same Light-
Commander Control Software 8c API, so users can easily
transfer 8c utilize custom code to the CEL5500.
