ECLIPSE
(Elastic Computed Line Inclinometric Processing SoftwarE)
AGISCO has developed powerful software
for processing inclinometric data. Using
limited readings from fixed inclinometric
torpedoes it can extrapolate results as
accurate as those
produced using a
manual torpedo.
This software is developed on an algorithm
based on the polynomial interpolation
theory combined with elastic line theory.
By using information derived from the
coordinates of the measuring points and
rotations from inclinometers’ readings the
algorithm computes the deflection curve
of the inclinometric casing and reproduces
it by using polynomial interpolation
technique.
When reproducing an inclinometric curve,
using a limited number of points, errors can
be easily made due to the lack of readings
along certain parts of the casing.
SOFTWARE
ECLIPSE is developed to overcome such
problems.
ECLIPSE splits the computation of the
deflection curve into several smaller partial
and specific algorithms, and subsequently
links the different results by applying the
displacement and rotational congruence.
The curve obtained by using this technique
of interpolation, specifically developed for
computation of an inclinometric vertical
line, results in the predicted deflection
curve being as accurate as those of the
inclinometric torpedo itself.
The ECLIPSE software for inclinometric data
processing stores, processes and graphs
inclinometric readings from one or more
inclinometric processes.
The following parameters are automatically computed and supplied: absolute
displacement, absolute azimuth values as
