Lumiglas luminaire series USL05 with hinged bracket
• For use with sightglass fittings.
Versatile luminaire is ideally suited for use with integral
light/sight port (single flange version) or separate light and sight
port (dual flange version).
Also supplyable as Ex-Version; see data sheet 07.05.
• Super Compact but Poweful:
Provides glare free illumination; fits bolted circular sightglass
assemblies similar to DIN 28120 / DIN 28121 as well as screwed
sightglasses similar to DIN 11851. Sizes, depending on style, from
DN 25 upward.
• Excellent illumination by special designed ring and lens unit.
•Application:
Illumination of the internals of through-flow indicators,
pipeline, laboratory and pilot plant, mixers, reactors and other
closed vessels in non “Ex” hazardous production areas;
suitable for use in food stuff processing.
• Protection Index:
Dust and waterjet proof, IP 65 to EN 60 529 / DIN VDE 0470

• Ambient Conditions:
Independent of internal vessel pressure or vacuum.
On no account may the luminaire be used as a closure/means of
sealing of a (pressure) vessel i.e. without a suitable sightglass
fitting.
Max ambient temperature at the cable gland: 80 °C
• Simple mounting by means of special bracket provides
practical installation:
On bolted circular sightglass fittings and flow indicators, the
luminaire is mounted on the cover flange face by means of
a hinged bracket. On screwed sightglasses, the luminaire is
mounted on the slotted cover nut or by means of a flanged
adaptor collar – see below d).
The Lumiglas luminaire USL05 suits the following sizes upward:
a) circular sightglass fittings to DIN 28120: DN 25…
b) circular sightglass fittings to DIN 28121: DN 40…
c) flow indicators DN 50
d) screwed sightglass fittings to DIN 11851:
- with DN 65 and DN 80 the luminaire is secured using
alternatively separate flanged adapter collar
- from DN 100 the luminare is secured using hinged bracket

• Electrical data and lamp fitting:
- Voltage: AC/DV-voltage, depending on type of luminaire
- Supply voltage: - without built in transformer:
24 V …halogen lamp 20 W or 50 W
- with built in transformer:
PTC-protected
120 V …halogen lamp 12 V/5 W
230 V …halogen lamp 12 V/5 W
• Transformers:
Available as separate units, AC mains to 24 V secondary output.
• Accessories:
- Mounting parts: stainless steel
hinged bracket or flanged adapter collar
- Lens ring: claw spanner for opening the luminaire
- Time delay switch in separate enclosure for limiting ON mode.
