APPLICATIONS

FLAT SLICES

The Urschel §Model CC uniformly slices, strip cuts, shreds
and granulates a wide variety of food products at high
production capabilities with excellent results. Among these
products are potatoes for chips, shredded cheese for pizza
topping, mushrooms, cabbage, lettuce, onions and carrots
for salad ingredients, and a wide variety of nut meats
for bakery ingredients. The versatile machine features
interchangeable cutting heads that enable the processor to
change the type of cut in just minutes. Specially designed
knives do not require sharpening and are inexpensive to
replace. The Model CC features continuous operation for
uninterrupted production and is designed for easy cleanup
and maintenance. The Model CC will accept products
measuring up to 4" (101.6 mm) in any dimension.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Product enters the rotating impeller [ 1 ] and is held against
the inner surface of the cutting head assembly by centrifugal
force. The cutting head assembly consists of eight individual
stationary cutting stations. Slices or shreds are produced as
product passes each knife [ 2 ] in a smooth and uninterrupted
manner. Length is controlled by input product size.
