nnnnModel 914 Continuous Emission Monitor
nnnn(CEM)
nnnnDescription
nnnnThe Continuous Emission Monitor (CEM) uses dry extractive sampling
nnnntechniques designed to meet government regulations for all types of
nnnncompliance monitoring.
nnnnThe sample extraction system is designed for primary conditioning of the
nnnnsample gas. Combining a temperature-controlled conditioning unit and a
nnnnheated sampling line ensures integrity of the sample gas. The sample gas is
nnnnthen dried (moisture removed) as required and introduced into the instruments.
nnnnThe CEM uses AMETEK Western Research's Model 9000RM for S02 and
nnnnNOx analysis, which are the standard parameters.
nnnnModel 9000RM can do other species like H2S,
nnnnN02, NO, NH3, CI and the measurement of 02 can
nnnnbe provided in addition to that by an integrated
nnnnparamagnetic cell. For CO and C02 analysis, when
nnnnrequired, an appropriate analyzer is integrated in to
nnnnthe system. Mass flow measurement to determine
nnnnmass emission of measured species is provided
nnnnby utilizing devices like S-type Pitot tube or optical
nnnndetection along with temperature measurement.
nnnnThe instruments are mounted in a free-standing
nnnnstandard 19-inch open rack. Optional considerations
nnnnare: an enclosed rack, a free-standing enclosure
nnnnor a walk-in shelter for environmental reasons.
nnnnOptional on the CEM is the computer data
nnnnacquisition system or programmable logic controller
nnnnproviding data collection and control functions for
nnnncustomer specific reporting and auto calibration.
