The AccuParts library provides designers with an
industry-leading resource for analog component
models. With over 11,700 models, AccuParts included
many of the most popular component models used by
designers in the aerospace, automotive,
telecommunications, computer, consumer and other
industries. In combination with Mentor Graphics’
AccuSim or Eldo analog simulators and the Design
Architect schematic capture tool for specifying and
creating electronic designs, AccuParts contributes to a
powerful solution for analog/mixed-signal, printed
circuit board, and systems designers.
AccuParts models of discrete components, such as
transistors, diodes and JFETs, are based on proprietary
model generation techniques that translate the
datasheet parameters to the appropriate spice model
parameters ensuring that the models accurately reflect
the actual devices. Complex devices, such as
operational amplifiers, voltage comparators, Voltage
references and regulators are modeled as subcircuits
using similar techniques that include often overlooked
parameters like noise, temperature and loading.
AccuParts also provides designers with more then 1370
accurate models of complex analog components, such as
operational amplifiers, comparators, voltage regulators, and
more. Modeling engineers at Mentor Graphics develop
subcircuit models comprised of AccuSim II primitive models.
In AccuSim II Analyses, the resulting models exhibit behavior
that is comparable to that of real devices in actual circuits.
Moreover, the AccuParts library offers extensive support for
linear and nonlinear magnetics. Custom transformer design is
made easy with the extensive transformer creation utility
provided in Design Architect. The magnetic core materials and
specific core geometries make use of the flexible nonlinear
magnetics primitives within AccuSim II to offer the most
accurate models possible. In the event the core geometry or
core material is not AccuParts, the designer can use the pop-up
forms to enter magnet data directly from the manufacturer’s
data sheets.
The AccuParts library includes over 2000 models of Power
MOSFET devices, IGBTs, Thyristors, and PWM ICs based on
AccuSim II primitives for use in power conversion designs.
Designers access AccuParts models through Design Architect
either by manufacturer part number or by using the selector
guide. The Selector Guide helps designers choose parts based
on their manufacturers’ specifications, thus simplifying the
parts selection process. Both ANSI and conventional symbols
are available for most analog components.
Mentor Graphics continually develops new models for
AccuParts library in response to customer requests and the
availability of new analog components. Models in the
AccuParts library are open—all model parameters and
subcircuits are available to the designer for inspection.
Designers can view and modify copies of AccuParts models as
well as on-line data sheets.
AccuParts models range from OpAmps to diodes and transistors.
