Lumiglas USL03 with hinged bracket, all stainless steel,
installed on a circular sightglass DIN 28120
Lumiglas Luminaire Series USL03
• For use with sightglass fittings.
•Application:
This super-compact luminaire can be used for integral light/sightport
(single flange version) or separate light and sight ports (dual
flange version) to illuminate the internals of through-flow indicators,
pipelines, laboratory mixers and other vessels and reactors
which are normally closed. This model is intended for use in all
Non Ex Hazardous Areas. The unit is suitable for food processing.
The luminaire must never be inserted into a vessel wall as a sealing
element, i. e. without appropriate sightglass disc and fitting.
• Sightglass Styles and Size:
This powerful, super-compact luminaire is designed to give glare
free illumination in combination with circular sightglasses of the
following styles (these minimum sizes and larger):
- Circular flanges acc. DIN 28120, DN 25 (weld type)
- Circular flanges acc. DIN 28121, DN 40 (bolt-on type)
- Through flow indicators, DN 50
- Circular screwed flanges style DIN 11851 DN 65 (MV type)
• Protection:
Dust and waterjet proof to IP 65 and EN 60529/DIN VDE 0470T1
• Ambient Condition Operating Range:
The unit is independent of any internal vessel pressure or
vacuum. Normally it is suitable for ambient temperatures
of 55° C, higher temperatures on request.
• Power supply:
- With built-in pushbutton:
power supply 24 V; halogen lamp 50 W,
2-pin socket GY6.35
- Without built-in pushbutton:
power supply 24 V; halogen lamp 20 W, 2-pin socket G 4
- Alternatively available for 12 V power supply
• Switch/Pushbutton:
The 50 W model is supplied with built-in pushbutton as
standard fitting.
• Transformers:
Transformers with e. g. 24 V secondary voltage can be supplied
optionally.
• Lamp Change:
- Switch off the luminaire and disconnect the power supply.
- Loosen the two screws at the rear end of the luminaire
housing and open the housing.
- Replace halogen lamp with lamp of same type and size, do not
touch the glass with bare fingers.
- Refit luminaire housing and tighten the two fastening screws.
- Reconnect power.
• Installation:
The unit comes with a 3 m cable tail. The luminaire is usually
bolted with its hinged bracket (is included in supply) to the
respective sightglass assembly, such as the cover flange of a
bolted circular sightglass or the slotted cover nut of a screwed
flange sightglass. The necessary M 6 bolt is delivered with the
luminaire.
