nnnnpotential outputs to metering instruments and protective relays.
nnnnIn addition, when equipped with carrier accessories, CVTs can be used for power line carrier (PLC) coupling.

nnnnAlstom Grid CVTs provide excellent reliability
nnnnbecause the major insulation of the CVT, the
nnnncapacitor stack, comprised of homogeneously
nnnnassembled capacitor elements, is extremely
nnnnsurge resistant irrespective of the waveform
nnnnof the surge voltage.
nnnnCVT insulation integrity is assured by the fact
nnnnthat a metallic bellows assembly hermetically
nnnnseals the oil from the atmosphere.
