Alstom Grid - Instrument Transformers

nnnn

manufactures a complete range of HV oil-filled

nnnn

voltage transformers. OTEF is a tank-type

nnnn

potential transformer with post insulator.

nnnn

For OTEF up to 420 kV, Alstom Grid's design

nnnn

incorporates a primary coil housed in the

nnnn

tank at the unit's base. Internal insulation is

nnnn

provided by hermetically sealed oil and oil-

nnnn

impregnated paper system. Outer insulation

nnnn

consists of a one-piece post-type insulator.

nnnn

For voltages at Um > 420 kV, the design

nnnn

consists of two coils at half potential located in

nnnn

a tank in the center of the voltage transformer.

nnnn

Internal insulation is provided by hermetically

nnnn

sealed oil and oil-impregnated paper system.

nnnn

Outer insulation is in the form of single piece

nnnn

post-type insulators located above and below

nnnn

the transformer tank.

nnnn

Built for long life

nnnn

OTEF is built based on Alstom Grid quality and

nnnn

technology. It is designed for system voltages

nnnn

up to 800 kV.

nnnn

Long life Insulation integrity is assured by a

nnnn

metallic diaphragm assembly that hermetically

nnnn

seals the oil from the atmosphere. All external

nnnn

parts are manufactured from corrosion-resis-

nnnn

tant material. Regular painting is not required.

nnnn

High quality paper-oil insulation

nnnn

The majority of the potential transformers

nnnn

using Alstom Grid technology have insulation

nnnn

paper that has been applied mechanically,

nnnn

guaranteeing a homogenous, high-density

nnnn

paper insulation. Defined grading layers with

nnnn

field-optimized electrode rings achieve a

nnnn

uniform field distribution along the insulator

nnnn

between line and ground. Surge protector

nnnn

devises are not necessary.
